The Simple Woman’s Day Book

From Peggy’s blog with others participating also.

FOR TODAY August 26, 2009
Outside my window…is dark and chilly
I am thinking…of how asynchronous my evening started and how I missed meditating at the shrine :(
I am thankful for…my warm home.
From the kitchen…wafts the smell of my herbal tea
I am wearing…my work clothes which comprises of black socks, black pants, pink blouse and black cotton sweater. It was a good hair day today despite the asynchronity of the end of the day.
I am creating…a list of how to de-clutter
I am going…to change into something more comfortable like my pajamas
I am reading…2 books in tandem, Cosmos and Psyche by Richard Tarnas and Psychic Children by Sylvia Browne.
I am hoping…for a harmonious transition back into school
I am hearing…the click sounds of the range.
Around the house…is very quiet…serenely peaceful.
One of my favorite things…is apple pie with vanilla ice-cream.
A few plans for the rest of the week: take R up to the observatory for inspiration, meet a friend and her 3 month old baby girl for lunch with my son, must go to qi gong meditation before I rip someone’s head off — this missed meditation tonight is slowly getting to me :( and to prepare for back to school shopping!

  1. Wow!

    This was a great post!

I actually found reading your post to be really relaxing! I’m not sure how you conveyed that serenity so well, but you did!

    • I’m not sure how either! I was actually rather annoyed at the redoing of the shrine last night. It was my first visit there and I really wanted to see if the same feeling I had last Saturday during the relic tour was still there. I feel a bit disappointed in myself for being curt with the cute guy that offered to show me the work on the shrine. Next Wednesday I’ll make amends…..I was just really looking forward to meditating there last night.

      Thanks for the comment.

  2. I’ve been working to de-clutter and loose the unnecessary things, yet new clutter come my way everyday.

    • Ken I hear ya! flylady.net inspires me. I like the 15 min boogie that she suggests. I’ve modified it to: 27 items in garbage, 27 items to donate and 27 items to put away (as I have 2 school aged sons). I’ve found that if I let 2 piles of paperwork touch they will multiply overnight when I go to sleep. Do not let your paperpiles procreate when you are getting your beauty sleep! A good way to save $$ is just simply do not buy. I wait 1 month before I buy a “luxury” item to see if I truly “need” it or else it will end up in the junk yard pile 6 months from now!
